Rabbi Oppenheimer
The CCI Board of Trustees is happy to announce that Rabbi Seth Oppenheimer has agreed to provide spiritual leadership for CCI from July 2024- June 2025 by leading:
1) one Shabbat evening service per month
2) the High Holy Day services (for both Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur)
3) the Seder in the Spring
4) performing “life cycle” events (funerals, weddings, baby namings, Bar- and Bat-mitzvah services) depending on his availability.
We feel blessed to have someone of his caliber serve in this capacity while the Board develops a search committee to explore the possibility of finding a ‘full time’ rabbi in the future.
Rabbi Dr. Seth F. Oppenheimer was ordained in the ALEPH smicha program. He holds a BA in Mathematics from The University of Chicago and a PhD in Mathematics from The University of Texas.
